Watercolour Pencils

Good afternoon all,

I thought I would pop on here a little card I made recently after spending some time being taught by the wonderful Francois Read, who designs and teaches for Woodware. She is a very talented artist and a fantastic papercrafter, and I thoroughly enjoyed her classes!

This card is inspired by her newest collection. I stamped using Memento ink in Potters Clay and then used my beloved watercolour pencils to jazz it up, colour it in and make it look suitably ethereal! Thanks Francoise, you are an inspiration to me!

Love and fairy dust,
Mrs Sparkle xx
PS still not getting the hang of taking great photos, are there any lovely people out there who have any tips?!?

Congrats on winning Michelle's candies!
I love the ethereal look you created with your watercolor pencils. Would you mind telling me your favorite brand of pencils? This is an adorable image for a card. Thanks for sharing. (photo is fine). Debi

Hi ladies, thanks so much for your comments, I tried to reply last night but I had some difficulties with the system!! Debi, I use standard Watercolour pencils from our local stationery shop, I send the pixies in to get them for me ;-) the ethereal look was achieved by gently colouring around the edge of the stamped image rather than inside, and then fanning out with water. I love this effect, its great fun and very soft and pretty. Love and hugs, Mrs S xx
